Luso now offers low-power 5W AC/DC converters from CTC

    07/05/2013

Luso Electronics Distribution announced availability of a series of small 5W AC-DC converters from CTC that offer DC outputs ranging from 3.3V up to 25V and power efficiencies of up 80%. Dual-output devices offering +/-5, 12 and 15V are also available. Although traditionally known as a manufacturer of DC/DC converters, CTC has used its know-how and expertise in the low-power conversion arena to offer this highly competitive range of encapsulated board-mount AC-DC power supplies. The new AC5WR range offers a universal input range from 90 to 264V(AC) (47~440Hz) or DC inputs from 120 to 370V. A key feature of the range is that it meets strict no-load power consumption limits of 0.25W maximum to ensure end products will comply with energy-efficiency standards worldwide. The devices offer low ripple and noise of 100mV (peak-peak maximum) and output voltage tolerances of 1% maximum. Featuring I/O isolation of 3000Vac, device protection features include continuous short-circuit, overload and over-voltage protection. The range's MTBF is greater than 400,000 hours and the operating temperature range is -25 to +75°C with no derating until +55°C. The device meet international safety standards including CE, UL-60950-1 and EN60950-1; and EMI compliance meets EN55022, class B. Samples of the AC5WR range are available from Luso Electronics Distribution with short lead times and in low minimum order quantities. Luso Electronics
