Matrox Graphics announced today its Matrox Avio KVM extender and Matrox Mura™ MPX Series video wall controller boards will be demonstrated together, as key components of a collaborative, high-performance simulation visualization at Digital Plant Expo. Avio will be specifically demonstrated with benefits relating to large polygon-count piping and steel CAD models, plant, pipeline, and process management, and resource reservoir simulation. Avio transmits audio, PS2, USB, and uncompressed HD display content in real time over a single fiber-optic cable with a maximum range of 2000 meters (in Single-Mode; 300 meters in Multi-Mode) between the remote desktop and host system at resolutions up to 1920x1200 on two single-link DVI displays and 2560x1600 on one dual-link DVI display. Additionally, Matrox Mura is the first video wall controller board featuring both inputs and outputs, condensed into a single PCI Express x16 slot. Multiple Mura cards can be used together within a single system, creating scalable, ultra-high-performance video walls to be used in control rooms, operation and command centers, presentations, simulations, and other data-intensive visualization environments.
