Maxwell Technologies among Deloitte's 2012 Technology Fast 500

    12/15/2012

Maxwell Technologies is listed among Deloitte's 2012 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life-sciences, and clean-technology companies in North America. "Global demand for greener, more-efficient, electrical-energy storage and power-delivery … is driving demand for Maxwell's ultracapacitor products in micro-hybrid automobiles, hybrid and electric transit vehicles, wind turbines, backup power systems, and many other transportation and industrial applications," said David Schramm, Maxwell's president and chief executive officer. "Total company sales grew by 177% from 2007 to 2011, and ultracapacitor sales grew by more than 500 percent during that period." "We are proud to honor the 2012 Technology Fast 500 companies, and commend them for their outstanding growth," said Eric Openshaw, vice chairman, Deloitte LLP and U.S. TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications) leader. "These ground-breaking companies have outpaced their competition and are reinventing the way we do business today." "The companies on the Fast 500 list are among those that have demonstrated remarkable innovation, creativity, and business savvy," said Bill Ribaudo, partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP and national TMT leader for AERS (audit and enterprise risk services). "As a result, these companies have continued to successfully forge ahead in a challenging economic environment. We applaud the leadership and employees of Maxwell Technologies for this impressive accomplishment." Maxwell Technologies
