Mouser Electronics Announces Global Agreement with Quantic Evans to Distribute High-Energy Density Capacitors

    09/26/2025

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorised global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, announces a global distribution agreement with Quantic Evans, an industry leader in high-energy density capacitors for demanding mission-critical applications. Quantic Evans' hybrid capacitors, known as EVANSCAPS, serve diverse markets, including aerospace, energy, and communications, where high-reliability, size, weight, and power (SWaP) are crucial.

"Partnering with Mouser significantly expands global access to our high-reliability capacitor technologies," said Todd Oelerich, Director of Sales and Business Development for the Quantic capacitor portfolio. "This agreement ensures that engineers worldwide can more easily design with our advanced solutions, helping them meet the demanding performance requirements of next-generation aerospace, defence, energy, and communications systems."

"Mouser is excited to offer our customers Quantic Evans' power-dense, hybrid wet tantalum capacitors," said Eric Wendt, Vice President of Supplier Management at Mouser. "We look forward to providing engineers and buyers worldwide with their high-reliability ruggedised EVANSCAPS, backed by Mouser's unsurpassed customer service and best-in-class logistics."

The Quantic Evans HyCap hybrid capacitors, available to order from Mouser, are designed to provide reliable operation in a wide range of harsh environments, including those with shock and vibration conditions. These devices are available in a capacitance range of 68μF to 2700μF with a ±20% tolerance, with a voltage range of 10VDC to 150VDC. The HyCap capacitor series' robust construction makes them suitable for energy, industrial, space, and defence applications.

The TDD and TDE hybrid capacitors combine high capacitance and low ESR in a fully hermetic tantalum package. The TDD series has a capacitance range of 1500μF to 300,000μF and a rated voltage from 10VDC to 125VDC. The TDE series provides a 2200μF to 25,000μF capacitance range with a 60VDC to 110VDC rated voltage range. The TDD and TDE series capacitors are well-suited for high-power pulse applications, with excellent heat transfer and low inductance. The TDD and TDE series capacitors are ideal for high-reliability defence and aerospace applications where weight and volume are at a premium.

The THQA2 and THQM2 hybrid capacitors offer a rated voltage range of 10VDCto 125VDC and a capacitance range of 215μF to 10,000μF. The THQA2 series features a 0.6" round diameter case, while the THQM2 series packages a THQA2 capacitor in a four-pin DAP-mount case. The THQA2 and THQM2 series capacitors are well-suited for applications such as energy, industrial, communications, and more.
