Mouser is sponsoring the 2015 Rebellion Racing team as it competes for the top position in the FIA World Endurance Championship season

Mouser Electronics is excited to welcome Rebellion Racing as the team heads to the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas endurance race on Saturday, September 19 in Austin, Texas. Mouser is sponsoring the 2015 Rebellion Racing team as it competes for the top position in the FIA World Endurance Championship season.

Driving the Mouser-sponsored Rebellion R-One No. 13 car, the talented team of Dominik “Do Do” Kraihamer, Alexandre Imperatori and Daniel Abt received the Privateer LMP1 Class Award at Le Mans – the team’s third such victory in four years. The sister car No. 12, driven by Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfeld and Mathias Beche, secured second place. Powered by AER P60 V6 GDI twin-turbocharged engines, the Rebellion team earned the distinction of being the top two non-factory cars in their LMP1 class.

Mouser employees enjoyed a fun race event this week during a “pit stop” visit from the Rebellion team, the drivers and one of the Le Mans race cars at Mouser’s world headquarters in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Employees had the special opportunity to receive autographs and photos from the drivers, along with cool racing swag and other great raffle prizes.

“We are thrilled to be able to sponsor Rebellion Racing and have the opportunity show them some Texas hospitality during race week,” said Todd McAtee, Mouser Electronics, Vice President of Americas, Business Development. “The Rebellion drivers are awesome and the Mouser employees really enjoyed having the rare opportunity to meet them in person before the race. The Circuit of the Americas’ course blends the spirit of Le Mans with the most competitive sports car racing in North America, and then adds a Texas flair.”

The Rebellion No. 12 car finished a respectable seventh place in a field of 29 at last year’s event at the Circuit of the Americas, and hopes are high as the team prepares to again tackle the 3.4-mile, 20-turn course. The FIA World Endurance Championship season continues with races in Fuji, Japan, on October 11; Shanghai, China, on November 1; and Sakhir, Bahrain, on November 21.

Mouser is teaming with its manufacturer partner LEMO, a global leader in the design and production of precision custom connection solutions, to sponsor the Rebellion Racing team.
