N2Power, a division of Qualstar Corp that its XL375CC convection cooled 260W AC-DC switching power supply has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Elektra Awards, a major European industry event. A panel of industry experts chose the product as one of four finalists in the ‘Power' category. The winner will be announced in London on December 12, 2012. N2Power's 260W XL375CC unit is 31.25% smaller by volume than 250W rivals, achieving an unprecedented 10.5W/in3 power density without compromising either features and functionality or a maximum efficiency of 93%. Then XL375CC is just 5 x 3.3 x 1.5 inches, a total volume of 24.75 cubic inches. The substantial increase in power density has been achieved through creative use of the latest component technologies and an innovative mechanical design that maximises airflow in and around the unit. N2Power's VP of Sales, Randy Johnson, said, "It's a great privilege to be named as a finalist in this important European awards event. We're delighted that the skills and experience of our power supply design team are recognized in this way as we continue to develop AC-DC power supplies with an outstanding combination of power density and efficiency."
