New executive policies address climate change

On November 1, the Obama Administration released Executive Order (EO) 13231 to address climate change resilience in state and local communities.

Executive Order (EO) 13231 directs Federal Agencies to take a series of steps to engage communities in preparing for the effects of climate change, including funding criteria for communities to address climate change at the local level.

The Executive policies indicate the continued drive by the Administration to meet its stated climate change objectives before the end of the second term.
