    New Opportunities at PSD

    05/05/2017
    Jim Graham, Editorial Director, PSD

This is the busy time of the year for those of us in the Power Electronics Industry.

APEC was a great show and PSD held their 8th annual golf tournament along with sponsors, Mouser Electronics and Coilcraft.  Congratulations goes to United Silicon Carbide who proudly was the recipient of the perpetual trophy!

In Bavaria, it is once again “Spargel” season, a favorite time of the year coinciding with PCIM Europe in Nuremberg.

PCIM Europe is the largest gathering of power electronics engineering professionals from all over the world to see the latest in designs, applications, new products and technologies. PSD looks forward to seeing all our friends and reporting on their latest announcements.

It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the appointment of Jason Lomberg as North American Editor, PSD.

Jason’s background brings a wealth of knowledge and experience relevant to PSD and our market position.

Jason spent seven years with ECN (Electronic Component News) as their Digital Editor, where he managed their website, deployed eNewsletters, solicited and edited content for print and wrote blog posts and editorials.

Prior to joining PSD, Jason’s most recently worked for Gannett Newspapers where he was a Regional Audience Analyst using analytics to guide decisions across the brand. Formulating new campaigns based on various metrics. Deploying eNewsletters, managing brand’s social media, publishing articles when appropriate and maximizing online traffic by trimming underperforming content.

Jason’s new position with PSD as North America Editor leverages his professional experience while allowing him to focus solely on the power market in North America.

Please welcome Jason and be sure to include him in your press contacts database.

Jason can be reached at: Jason@powersystemsdesign.com

PSD is one of the few remaining independent publishers serving the power electronics market.

We are also currently in the process of hiring a European counterpart to Jason.  This hire will position PSD as the only English language publishing effort to have dedicated editorial coverage in both North America and Europe as well as our long established Chinese based publishing efforts in Mainland China.

While our European contingent is at PCIM Europe, Jason will be making PSD’s presence known at “Embedded Systems East” in Boston and “Lightfair International” in Philadelphia.

Enjoy this issue of PSD … It’s a great read.

    Cheers!
