The DCN series super capacitors are available in 1 to 3,200 F, 2.7 to 5.5 WVDC.

The new DCN series of super capacitors from Illinois Capacitor offers capacitance values up to an astonishing 3,500 Farads, while maintaining small case sizes. Custom modules are also available to combine multiple capacitors for combinations of higher voltage ratings or capacitance. The expanded DCN Series includes more values, now ranging in capacitance from 1 to 3,500 F, with voltage ratings from 2.7 to 5.5 WVDC. Operating temperature ranges from -40 to +60 °C for extended-life performance in countless applications. DCN super capacitors are an excellent choice for battery replacements or supplements. Unlike batteries, they do not degrade with each cycle. At 2.7 V, Illinois Capacitor rates the DCN series super capacitor's load life at 86,700 hr. The company rates the devices' operating life at 10 years with 500,000 cycles. Applications for these super capacitors include energy harvesting, battery pack alternatives, memory backup, battery-capacitor hybrids, UPS systems, emergency lighting, solar lighting, and auto sound power boost. DCN Series capacitors are available in packages with various termination styles and case diameters, depending on values. The parts are also fully RoHS compliant. Like other IC capacitors, each DCN Series capacitor is 100% burn-in tested. Prices start at $0.70 for a 10 F, 2.7 V capacitor. Delivery: stock to 45 days for production quantities.
