OGN Adapter Combined Fuse Cover / Extractor

OGN Adapter Combined Fuse Cover / Extractor

    10/02/2024

For the SCHURTER OGN fuse holder, which is available in THT, SMT and THR technology, SCHURTER offers a variety of different covers in addition to a dedicated plugging aid. Until now. Because SCHURTER launches a new OGN adapter, which fulfils both functions at the same time.

The currently available OGN plugging aid is a very useful tool for placing 5x20 fuses into all types of OGN fuse holder. It makes placing and replacing of fuses much easier, especially on densely packed PCBs.

It is often the case that the plugging aid remains in place together with the fuse, which means that the plugging aid also remains in the appliance during operation. However, this is not permitted for safety reasons. With a rated power consumption of 2.5W/10 A, the plugging aid is endangered to overheat.

SCHURTER is now taking this into account with the launch of the new OGN Adapter. At 4W/16A, it is significantly more heat-resistant and has also been tested for glow-wire resistance. It can therefore remain in the device during operation with a clear conscience (VDE approval) and serve as a cover.

The new OGN Adapter can therefore replace two products at once: the cover and the plugging aid.
