    Pasternack's latest attenuators and RF loads operate to 65 GHz

    Pasternack Enterprises, an industry-leading manufacturer and supplier of RF, microwave and millimeter wave products, adds lines of 1.85mm attenuators and 1.85mm RF loads up to 65 GHz. This new line of 1.85mm attenuators and terminations are often used in applications such as power limiting, impedance matching and signal leveling inside RF test systems.

    Pasternack’s 1.85mm attenuators come in 3, 6, 10, 20 and 30 dB values and are rated to 65 GHz at 1 Watt. The 1.85mm RF terminations are also rated to 65 GHz at 1 Watt and have a VSWR of 1.3:1 to 40 GHz and 1.65:1 to 65 GHz. The 1.85mm connector interface, also referred to as a “V Connector®”, is widely used in satellite communications (VSAT) equipment, point-to-point radios, WiGig applications and millimeter-wave radars due it’s compact size, threaded design and ability to operate at extremely high frequencies.

    The new 1.85mm fixed attenuators and RF loads are constructed with stainless steel bodies and Beryllium Copper (BeCu) contacts making them highly durable and able to withstand harsh environments without sacrificing electrical performance. Commercially available 1.85mm and 2.4mm attenuators and loads routinely only perform to 40 or 50 GHz, making these new 65 GHz versions a more desirable option for use in industrial, aerospace and military-grade systems.
