Paultre on Power - Maxim's Corona interface subsystem reference design (Podcast)

    09/30/2013

In this podcast, David Andeen of Maxim integrated talks to Alix Paultre of Power Systems Design about intelligence in advanced industrial systems and the power savings that can be derived from it. The Corona subsystem reference design from Maxim provides the front-end interface circuit of a programmable logic controller (PLC) digital input module. The serialization feature allows a large reduction in the number of optocouplers used for isolation. The reference design accepts high-voltage inputs (36V, max) and features isolated power and data.
