Papers on power electronics and their application are invited for the Call for Papers for the PCIM Europe 2014 Conference, which is now open. The submission deadline is 15 October 2013. The topics covered include recent developments in power semiconductors, passive components, thermal management products, energy storage, sensors and new materials as well as systems. This year's conference focuses on "Wind and Solar - Integration, Challenges and Solutions". Proposals are invited for conference presentations or posters. The conference language is English. The accepted papers will be included in the official PCIM proceedings as well as in the databases of Scopus, IEEExplore and IET Inspec Direct. Best Paper and Young Engineer Award The conference directors will shortlist the best papers from the submissions. The winner of the Best Paper Award will receive 1,000 Euros and the chance to participate at the PCIM Asia 2015 Conference in Shanghai, including flights and accommodation. For outstanding contributions from young authors not older than 35, three "Young Engineer Awards" of 1,000 Euros each will be granted.
