PFM DC/DC converter from Advanced Power Electronics saves space, cost

    10/16/2013

Advanced Power Electronics, a leading manufacturer of MOS power semiconductors and ICs for DC-DC power conversion applications, has announced the APE1910-HF-3, a Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) DC/DC converter with a low quiescent current of around 30μA and shutdown current less than 1uA. Available in a small RoHS/REACH-compliant halogen-free SOT-23-5 package, the APE1910-HF-3 features a wide input voltage range from 1.2V to 12V. It features a switching current limit (typ) of 350mA, a high output voltage of up to 34V. Using a PFM design, the product provides high efficiency across a broad range of load. According to Ralph Waggitt, President/CEO, Advanced Power Electronics, "With a small package size and requiring only a small number of external components, the APE1910-HF-3 offers a low cost and space saving solution for step-up voltage conversion."
