Oztek Corp announced that its OZpcs-RS40 power conversion system has been added to the California Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) Verified Equipment List. Approval was issued on August 10 by AESC Inc., who is the lead member of the SGIP Technical Working Group (TWG) which reviews new equipment for compliance in the SGIP Program and adds new systems to the SGIP Verified Equipment List.

The 40-kilowatt OZpcs-RS40 is a rack mounted, four-quadrant, bi-directional, three-phase power conversion system (PCS) specifically designed for grid tied and micro-grid energy storage applications. The transformerless design and 2.5U rack mounted form factor allows for easy paralleling, enabling flexible and sophisticated energy storage system architectures. The system has been integrated into numerous grid-tied and micro-grid energy storage systems across the country and has a strong track record of high-quality performance and dependability.

The CPUC's Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) provides incentives to support existing, new, and emerging distributed energy resources. SGIP provides rebates for qualifying distributed energy systems installed on the customer's side of the utility meter. Qualifying technologies include wind turbines, waste heat to power technologies, pressure reduction turbines, internal combustion engines, microturbines, gas turbines, fuel cells, and advanced energy storage systems.
