Power Electronics South America Conference and Exhibition successfully underway

Well known national and international companies will be showcasing their power electronics, intelligent drive technologies, renewable energies and energy management products to visitors and conference delegates at Power Electronics South America (11 - 13 September 2012 in São Paulo, Brazil). Over the three days, engineers from industry and science will be exchanging their ideas and opinions at the parallel Power Electronics South America conference. The program of 11 presentations and 2 poster sessions will see over 70 contributions being presented for the first time, with the focus on solutions and developments from the users' point of view and the latest research results from universities. The highlights of the conference include keynote speeches, one delivered at the beginning of each of the three days, in which a well known expert will present the important trends and developments in the Brazilian market. On the first day, Ali Emadi of Mc Master University in Canada gets underway with "Next Generation of Hybrid Electric Vehicles", followed on Wednesday by "Energy Storage and HVDC: The Backbones of a Future with more than 30% Contribution of Wind + Solar Energy" by Stefan Linder of ABB Schweiz. Dan Jitaru of Delta Energy Systems, USA will speak on "Wireless Power, a new trend in Power Conversion" on the last day of the conference. In addition, international specialists will offer an extensive program of training workshops, one on each morning of the conference, for power electronics technicians in Brazil.
