Power Integrations reinvents its databook with mobile app

    05/18/2013

Power Integrations, a leader in high-voltage integrated circuits for energy-efficient power conversion, launched the latest version of the PI Databook as a mobile app at PCIM 2013. The PI Databook App is a comprehensive mobile implementation of the complete portfolio of Power Integrations technical documents and enables engineers to access technical data and video from any iOS or Android™ platform-enabled tablet or smart-phone. The PI Databook App allows users to browse product information, annotate, save and share documents. The App also includes a search function and newsfeed. According to Peter Vaughan, director of applications engineering at Power Integrations: "Engineers love our databooks. But databooks are out of date before they are even printed, they are inconvenient to carry around, and they don't play video. The PI Databook App enables engineers to research their designs in a familiar and comfortable way, yet with fully up-to-date information in a convenient format. The app makes it easier for them to find the information they need to solve their power-related design challenges without having to click through layers of a traditional website."
