Power shunt enhances absorption of thermal expansion

    01/03/2013

The PSB current-sensing power shunt from KOA Speer allows for enhanced absorption of thermal expansion, with a power rating of 6W, resistances of 0.75m? and 1m?, and a tolerance of 1%. With its 0.2mm-thick Cu electrode shape, the PSB resistor features excellent temperature cycling characteristics. At the low height of 0.65mm, it is a flat structure with a TCR of ±75ppm, and is applicable for strong mounting as well as automatic mounting machines. The robust PSB features a higher resistance to solder cracking and a smooth current flow ideal for large current detecting. The PSB is ideal for use in current sensing automotive and industrial applications for ECUs, such as electronic controls, EV and HEV battery management, DC/DC converters, oil and gas down-hole equipment, air conditioning/heat pumping, inverter controls, electronic power steering, electric brake systems and water/oil pumps. Prices start at $3.50 each, and have a lead time of 12 weeks. Samples are available upon request. Koaspeer
