Pre-Switch announces Andre Willis as VP Engineering

    10/15/2020
Pre-Switch has announced HiQ Solar founder, Andre Willis, as VP of Engineering.

Previously a founder of HiQ Solar, the designers and developers of award-winning SiC inverter solutions, Willis is an inventor and creator with over 30 years power design experience. He joins Pre-Switch to provide the expertise necessary to take the company’s EV products through the commercialization phase from prototypes to volume sales.

Comments Bruce Renouard, Pre-Switch CEO: “We are delighted to welcome Andre to our team. He has an outstanding leadership and technical track record, with particular strengths in SiC inverter development, and he has already made immediate contributions to our global EV program and CleanWave200 inverter evaluation system.”

Pre-Switch has also strengthened its design and manufacturing resource with additions to its hardware and software engineering and development teams. Former VP Engineering Derek Kroes remains a vital member of the Pre-Switch advisory board.

Pre-Switch is enabling customers to build high voltage inverters for EVs and other applications with an almost pure sine wave output. Their technology reduces switching losses to effectively zero and enables increased switching frequencies which results in an EV range increase of 5-12%.
