Vishay Intertechnology introduced three ±15 V precision monolithic quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) CMOS analog switches. Built on a new CMOS process, the Vishay Siliconix DG1411, DG1412, and DG1413 offer low on-resistance of 1.5 Ω. Compared to previous generation and competing analog switches with similar on-resistance in the same footprint, the devices released today offer over 50 % lower source parasitic capacitance in the off state and up to 80 % lower charge injection. Combined with fast 100 ns switching times, the improved performance of the DG1411, DG1412, and DG1413 makes the devices ideal for signal switching and relay replacement in data acquisition, industrial control and automation, communication, and A/V systems, in addition to medical instrumentation and automated test equipment.

The new CMOS platform of the DG1411, DG1412, and DG1413 ensures low and flat switch resistance over the full analog signal range and provides excellent linearity, making the devices ideal for low-distortion applications, such as sample and hold circuits, programmable gain control circuits, and A/V signal routing. The analog switches' low on-resistance also makes them the preferred solution over mechanical relays in automatic test equipment and applications where current switching is required.

The DG1411, DG1412, and DG1413 feature four independently selectable SPST switches. The DG1411 is normally closed while the DG1412 is normally open. The DG1413 has two normally open and two normally closed switches with guaranteed break-before-make operation. The devices operate from either a single 4.5 V to 24 V power supply, or from dual ± 4.5 V to ± 15 V power supplies. The analog switches don't require a VL logic supply, while all digital inputs have 0.8 V and 2 V logic thresholds to ensure low-voltage TTL/CMOS compatibility.

The devices offer a maximum on-resistance flatness of 0.48 Ω, CS(OFF) of 11 pF, CD(ON) of 87 pF, and charge injection from -60 pC to +135 pC over the signal range. The DG1411, DG1412, and DG1413 are bidirectional and support analog signals up to the supply voltage when on, and block them when off. The switches are available in RoHS-compliant, halogen-free TSSOP16 and QFN16 4 mm by 4 mm packages.

Samples and production quantities of the new analog switches are available now, with lead times of eight weeks for larger orders. Pricing for U.S. delivery in 1,000-piece quantities is $3.30 each for devices in the QFN16 package and $3.63 for devices in the TSSOP16 package.
