RF Signal Generators Provides Affordable IQ Generation

    10/16/2019

Beaverton, OR – RIGOL Technologies announces another significant expansion of its RF Test Portfolio with the release of 4 new models of the DSG800 Series RF Signal Generator.

The explosion of IoT connected devices has led to a significant increase in the amount of digital data being transmitted via local RF interfaces. This expansion has driven a need for affordable IQ generation capabilities. RIGOL’s new DSG800A models provide support for internal and external IQ generation allowing engineers to quickly generate IQ traffic to simulate or validate their designs.

Available in 2.1GHz and 3.6GHz models with a starting price of only $3,699 the DSG800A provides the most capable and affordable IQ generation product on the market. Unlike some other manufacturer’s value solutions, the DSG800A provides internal IQ modulation eliminating the need for an external IQ source simplifying setup, minimizing expense, and ensuring system accuracy. Internal IQ waveform construction is supported by our free Ultra IQ Station software utility making the creation and generation of IQ data simpler than ever before.

For those needing high performance RF signal generation without IQ, RIGOL has also added non IQ versions to its DSG800 portfolio at 2.1GHz and 3.6GHz. All models deliver maximum output power up to +20 dBm and low SSB phase noise of -112 dBc/Hz, amplitude accuracy of +/- 0.5 dB, and frequency resolution 0.01 Hz at any frequency. An optional oven-controlled crystal oscillator time-base provides < 5 ppb temperature stability and < 30 ppb/year aging stability, the most accurate and stable available in this class.

The DSG800A is available and shipping now. Please contact RIGOL or any authorized partner for information.
