RS Components now offers StrongIRFET power MOSFETs for industrial applications

    06/25/2013

RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents, a leading distributor of electronics and maintenance products, is now stocking the StrongIRFET™ power MOSFET family from International Rectifier, a world leader in power management technology. The StrongIRFET™ family features ultra-low on-state resistance (RDS(on)) for a wide variety of industrial applications including battery packs, inverters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar inverters, forklift trucks, power tools, mobility scooters, and ORing and hot swap applications. In addition to very low RDS(on), the high current ratings of these new devices helps improve system reliability and may save on part count when replacing lower performing devices. The StrongIRFET™ family comprises a wide selection of performance and package variants, providing design engineers with the flexibility to choose the best device for their application. All of the devices feature improved gate, avalanche and dv/dt ruggedness; fully characterised capacitance and avalanche SOA; and enhanced body diode dv/dt and dl/dt capability. The parts are qualified to industrial grade and moisture sensitivity level 1 (MSL1) and are RoHS-compliant, containing no lead, no bromide, and no halogen. RS Components
