Rutronik and Nanya sign franchise contract

    07/12/2016

Nanya Technology and Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente have concluded a Europe-wide franchise contract, that covers the entire Nanya product portfolio of SDRAM memory. Nanya develops, produces and distributes standard and mobile SDRAM memory. The Taiwanese manufacturer is specifically targeting the automotive and industry markets with its 30nm and 42nm technologies.

The 30nm technology offers customers cost and performance benefits such as multi-chip compatibility. For automotive applications, Nanya offers a comprehensive range of high quality automotive-spec products up to 105°C. "With its strength in the automotive and industrial markets, Rutronik is an ideal fit for us and will support Nanya in order to gain a greater share of these markets in Europe”, says Jean-Louis Freart, Managing Director of Nanya Technology Europe GmbH.

The Nanya portfolio includes DDR, DDR2, DDR3 and DDR4 memory. The mobile devices (LPDDR, LPDDR2, LPDDR3) are optimized for low power applications. They are available in a broad range of form factors (FBGA, MCP, PoP, and KGD for SiP). Nanya’s multi-chip-package (MCP) products combine various memory technologies, such as single-level-cell (SLC) NAND Flash with mobile DRAM, in a small package.

DDR SDRAM from Nanya is as well used in application like set top boxes, cash systems, security cameras and embedded computer boards. "With the SDRAM solutions from Nanya, we have now completed our embedded memory portfolio", says Stephan Fiege, Linemanager of Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH. "Additional we can now extend our portfolio for the automotive segment.”
