    Rutronik carries Kyocera crystals for low-power apps

    With six new qualified crystal units, Kyocera supports Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF51 series of multi-protocol SoC devices for ultra-low power wireless applications. The crystal units are now available from Rutronik.

    Nordic’s device family is built around a 32-bit ARM® Cortex M0 processor core. For this processor, Kyocera offers six qualified crystal units with frequencies of 16MHz or 32MHz for the mandatory clock and 32.768kHz as an optional usage for Power Save.

    The MHz crystals are available in a 4-pad 2.00x1.60mm (CX2016DB) or 2.50x2.00mm (CX2520DB) ceramic package and a load capacitance of 8pF. The frequency stability is ±40ppm over a temperature range of -25° up to +85°C. The tuning fork crystals are packaged in a 2-pad 2.00x1.20mm (ST2012SB) or 3.20x1.50mm (ST3215SB) housing with a load capacitance of 12.5pF. The frequency stability is ±250ppm over a temperature of -25°C up to +85°C. All crystal units are RoHs compliant and ready for 260°C reflow soldering.
