Rutronik now global distributor for knitter-switch

    11/10/2015

Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente is now the global distributor for switching technology specialist knitter-switch. The franchise agreement encompasses its entire product portfolio. Since it was founded in 1966, knitter-switch has specialized in switching technology and today offers an enormous selection of toggle, push, tactile, rotary coded and DIP switches as well as membrane keyboards and pressure mats for industrial use. In addition to its range of standard products, the manufacturer also develops and manufactures customized solutions.

The membrane keyboards in particular can be tailored to form solutions adapted to the given application using individually selected components. The integrated keys are available in different versions – using flat, raised, poly dome or metal dome technology. This enables them to provide different means of tactile feedback and offers a service life of up to one million operations.

"The addition of knitter-switch to our partner network generates new opportunities in the field of membrane keyboards and silicone pressure mats for us and our customers. These products were previously not part of our focus," explained Martin Unsoeld, Senior Marketing Manager at Rutronik. "With its global distribution structure, Rutronik is superbly positioned," added Managing Director at knitter-switch, Hanspeter Külb. "This will help us to better serve our customers worldwide, drive forward our joint marketing activities and acquire new projects."
