Rutronik offers BYD intelligent power modules with enhanced system reliability

    07/02/2013

BYD's latest IPM (Intelligent Power Modules) offer high performance in a compact housing, combining optimized circuit protection and driver serving low-loss IGBTs. They target low-power inverter-driven applications like air conditioners and washing machines. The modules are now available from Rutronik immediately. Thanks to the integrated under-voltage lock-out, single BOOST PFC circuit and over-current protection, the system reliability is further enhanced. Furthermore, each phase current of inverter can be monitored separately. By using DBC, the modules have a very low thermal resistance. They come with a three-phase IGBT inverter bridge including control ICs for gate driving and protection and with an isolation rating of 2500Vrms/min. Rutronik
