Silanna Announces MIL-TEMP Variant of Plural Platform ADCs, Delivering −55°C to +125°C Operation Across Portfolio

Silanna Semiconductor, a global provider of high-performance mixed-signal solutions, today announced MIL-TEMP variants of its Plural platform of high-speed, low-power analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).

The initial launch includes five devices from across its portfolio that are now capable of operation at military-temperature grades to ensure guaranteed performance from −55°C to +125°C and enabling designers to deploy Silanna’s best-in-class pipeline converter technology in the most demanding environments, including aerospace, defense, radar, secure communications, unmanned systems, navigation, and ruggedized industrial systems.

The company’s initial five MIL-TEMP ADCs will span from 10- to 16-bit resolutions and sampling rates from 20 MSPS to 250 MSPS.

These devices represent the first wave of military-temperature-qualified products within Silanna’s broader converter roadmap. Silanna can make any ADC in its portfolio available as a military-temperature-grade variant, enabling defense OEMs to adopt a common converter architecture across multiple systems and deployment scenarios in support of customer program timelines and platform-level standardization.

The ability to supply MIL-TEMP variants across the entire portfolio also enables customers to gain architectural continuity, simplified qualification, and a secure supply path for multi-year and multi-program needs.

“Defense and aerospace designers require three things from their component suppliers: performance, reliability, and long-term availability,” said Patrick Moore, VP of Global Sales & Applications at Silanna Semiconductor. “We built the Plural Platform to serve mission-critical sensing and signal-chain systems, and extending the full operating range down to −55°C and up to +125°C was a natural next step. Because any Plural Platform converter can be supplied in these extended temperature grades, customers benefit from architectural continuity, streamlined qualification, and a secure supply path that supports multi-year, multi-program requirements.”

Silanna’s MIL-TEMP devices maintain the same pinout, performance architecture, and optional on-chip DSP features as the company’s commercial parts, enabling seamless reuse across aerospace and defense programs. The devices are supported by ruggedized screening flows, reliability testing options, and long-term availability commitments that match the lifecycle demands of mission-critical platforms.

Evaluation boards, samples, and customized MIL-TEMP variants are available immediately through Silanna’s Sales and Applications teams.
