    Single-Layer MOVs Offer Superior Overvoltage Protection

    RALEIGH, NC – The RV from Stackpole is a radial-leaded metal oxide varistor available in a wide range of disk sizes and working voltages designed for general-purpose overvoltage protection. The UL 1449 certified RV series offers disk sizes from 5mm to 20mm with peak current ratings up to 18,000 amps and energy handling up to 792J. The RV series offers protection for electronics with operating voltages ranging from 14VDC to 1465VDC.

    Applications include low-voltage board level circuitry, data and voice communications, network equipment, distribution panels, AC line protection for white goods, entertainment electronics, lighting ballasts, power supplies, electric motors and motor controls, and surge protection devices.
