SL Power Electronics 425W single-output TU425 Series AC/DC power supply

SL Power Electronics, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of rugged, highly reliable power supplies, announced its 425W single-output TU425 Series AC/DC power supply. This latest offering from SL Power addresses the unique needs of all types of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, analyzers, test boards, chromatography mass detectors as well as industrial process control systems that require clean, reliable power for the highest level of performance.

Feature rich and highly efficient – up to 90 percent – the TU425 product family with active current share for redundant applications, measures only 3” x 6.2” x 1.62,” easily fitting into a compact 1U high chassis and provides 300 watts of convection cooling or 425 watts with moving air. Designed with the highest level of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection, the TU425 model features a wide -10°C to 70°C operating temperature range and will start-up at a low -40°C, providing optimum thermal performance and eliminating the need for a costly heating element.

Compliant to heavy industrial levels of the IEC61000-4 standards for EMC immunity and Class B Conducted EMI with 6db margin, the TU425 power supply features over 350,000 hours Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and uses long life (>7 years) electrolytic capacitors in its design.

“We’re pleased to introduce our latest TU425 power supply family that addresses problematic EMI and EMC issues that can wreak havoc with the performance of test equipment and industrial process control systems,” said Paul Kingsepp, product manager for SL Power Electronics. “Design engineers will appreciate the reduction of time needed on isolating the ‘measurement’ part of their design from external influences. The TU425 AC/DC power supply gives our customers peace of mind when designing their test and industrial equipment, allowing them to get to market faster.”

The models feature a universal input of 90 to 264Vac and are available in outputs of 12V, 18V, 24V, 48V and 56V. Input and output monitoring alarms plus isolated 12V/1A fan output and 5V/2A standby voltage are standard offerings of TU425 family. All models are CE marked to low voltage directive and approved to ITE standards of IEC/UL/EN60950 and CSA C22.2, 2nd edition.

Featuring a three-year warranty, the TU245 models are available now through SL Power’s extensive distribution sales channels. Pricing starts at $155 each in OEM quantities.
