    SnapEDA releases new optoelectronic products

    07/17/2019
SnapEDA has announced its collaboration with Osram Opto Semiconductors which allows engineers to quickly and effortlessly integrate Osram’s components.

Osram Opto Semiconductors is releasing its entire collection of photodiodes, phototransistors, laser diodes and infrared emitters on SnapEDA’s website.

Traditionally, engineers have spent days creating digital models for each component in their designs. With this new collaboration, engineers can now simply drag-and-drop Osram components into their designs, saving days of time and allowing them to focus on what matters most - building high-quality products on schedule. SnapEDA is used by over one million professional engineers.

Osram’s products are recognized in the market for their dependability, compact size, robustness, easy integration and excellent price-performance ratio. Osram components include LEDs, Infrared LEDs (IREDs), laser diodes, photodiodes and phototransistors, which are an integral part of everything from automotive lighting, industrial electronics, mobile electronics, general lighting and more.

The models can be downloaded for free from SnapEDA’s electronics design library, as well as from websites of Osram’s franchised distributors that support SnapEDA models.

Osram products that will be featured on SnapEDA include:

    • The Synios P 2720 series, which combines the advantages of high-power infrared illumination LED technology with extremely compact packaging

    • The IR Oslon Black family, which features a small package with integrated lens, allowing for high-power density

    • The IR Topled D5140 portfolio, which reinvents the traditional DIL large-area Si PIN photodiode in a more compact and reliable package

Supported electronic design formats include Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, Eagle, KiCad, PCB123, Proteus, and Mentor Graphics PADS. The PCB footprints have been created based on Osram’s recommended land patterns or IPC-7351B standards when applicable.
