Stackpole expands HCS Series resistance value range

    04/29/2015

Stackpole announces the expansion of the popular HCS family of resistors up to 5 milliohms in both the 2512 and the 3920 chip sizes. This allows the use of the HCS for an even wider range of applications where the HCS’s low thermal resistance and self-heating are important. The HCS Series will typically run 15 degrees C to 20 degrees C cooler than a comparable flat chip. In addition, the HCS Series has excellent pulse and short time overload performance and long term stability and reliability over the life of the part, with typical resistance shifts of less than +/- 1%.

Pricing for the HCS Series is size, resistance value, and tolerance dependent and ranges from $0.38 to $0.70 each in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributor partners for volume pricing. Many popular resistance values are in stock.
