Stackpole releases anti-sulfur chip resistor arrays

    01/08/2014

Stackpole Electronics announces the release of the RAVS Series of anti-sulfur chip resistor arrays. The RAVS Series has a reduced amount of silver in the inner terminations, which greatly reduces the susceptibility of the terminations to contamination from sulfur. In "Flowers of Sulfur" testing per ASTM B 809-95, the RAVS Series shows resistance shifts of less than +/- 1%. Standard chip resistor arrays would typically open completely or shift beyond 10% under these conditions. This makes the RAVS a good solution for applications where many types of oils and lubricants, rubber gaskets, hoses, and grommets are used in close proximity to chip arrays.

The RAVS is available in 8 pin 4 isolated resistor and 4 pin 2 isolated resistor configurations. Sizes range from 0.04 by 0.04 in. to 0.2 by 0.12 in. Resistance range is from 1 ohm to 10M ohm with tolerances as low as 1%. Pricing varies with size, resistance value, and tolerance and ranges from $0.009 to $0.10 each in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole for volume pricing.
