Stackpole's ASR series has working-voltage ratings from 1.6 kVDC for the ¼-W size, up to 5 kV for the 1-W and mini 2-W sizes.

The ASR Series from Stackpole are high-voltage, anti-surge, axial-leaded resistors. The ASR series uses special film that has working-voltage ratings from 1.6 kVDC for the ¼-W size, up to 5 kV for the 1-W and mini 2-W sizes. In addition, the ASR Series is capable of withstanding thousands of high-voltage pulses up to 10 kV depending on resistance value. Yet the ASR Series is less expensive than comparable metal-glaze high-voltage resistors making it well suited for high-volume applications. Applications for the ASR Series include high-voltage power supply primary-side discharge, lighting ballasts, voltage dividers, robotics, industrial controls, UPS systems, network diagnostic equipment, medical diagnostic and monitoring equipment, EKG and ECG equipment, and high voltage snubbing circuits. Pricing for the ASR Series varies with size and resistance value and ranges from $0.045 to $0.14 each in full reel quantities. Stackpole
