A series of compact, fully integrated high voltage switching mode power supplies that can be located at the point-of-load, making them ideal for large X-Ray inspection- and radar systems has been introduced by Diversified Technologies, Inc. (DTI) of Bedford, Massachusetts.

DTI Switching Mode Power Supplies feature racks that provide from 50 kW to 1 MW of output from 10 kV to 150 kV and each compact solid-state unit has a 30” sq. footprint and uses common tap water for cooling.  These power supplies replace very large 60Hz transformer rectifiers, eliminate the parallel connection of smaller power supplies, and can be located at the point-of-load; making them Ideal for homeland security applications.

Providing full over-voltage and over-current protection up to +30% or preset to ±0.1% max. ripple and N+1 reliability, DTI Switching Mode Power Supplies do not need an SCR front end which results in lower harmonics and noise on the utility feed.  Reducing high voltage cabling requirements, they allow for the construction of smaller systems with full redundancy.

DTI Switching Mode Power Supplies are priced from $150,000.00 to $300,000.00 each, depending upon model.
