Data Center Power Alerts Now Brought to Mobile Devices for Instant Notifications and Accurate Responses

Richmond, Virginia – Power Distribution, Inc. (PDI) announced its new WaveStar Infinity Monitoring System will be available in Q4. The WaveStar Infinity provides data center managers with the most advanced power distribution equipment monitoring and metering solution to enable prompt and accurate decisions based on real-time energy management information.

“In order to avoid downtime, data center managers need instant access to a facility’s power and equipment status at all times,” said Michael Condon, Global Product Manager, PDI.  “For this reason, we designed WaveStar Infinity with real-time sensing, measuring, collecting, calculating, reporting and alarming for PDI’s data center power distribution equipment. Now, managers can instantly extract performance metrics on their desktop or mobile devices.”

The WaveStar Infinity is designed to work with PDI’s Modular Compact Remote Power Panel (MCRPP) and both PowerPak 2 and PowerHub 2 Power Distribution Unit (PDU) to provide metering and monitoring of key electrical and equipment performance measurements such as:

    • Voltage
    • Current
    • Power
    • Frequency
