TDK-Lambda adds 200W Module to the CN-A Series

    10/12/2010

Global power supply manufacturer TDK-Lambda EMEA has added a 200W module to its CN-A110 series of DC-DC power modules that have a wide range 60 -160Vdc input, to accommodate higher-power railway applications. Available with nominal output voltages from 5V to 24V (adjustable ±10%), the CN200A110 module has a wide input range, and is fully-regulated and isolated to deliver exceptional performance in the industry standard half-brick footprint. The CN200A110 DC-DC modules are suitable for both rolling stock and fixed installations, enabling customers to design cost-effective EN50155 compliant systems without the risks associated with custom product designs and in a much shorter timescale. TDK-Lambda also offers a design and manufacture service for customers preferring to buy in complete systems meeting their exact electrical and mechanical requirements. Designed for harsh environments, the 200W module in the CN-A110 series meet the stringent shock and vibration requirements of IEC61373 Category 1 Class B*, as well as the Japanese equivalent standard JIS E 4031. The baseplate-cooled CN200A110 module, with industry standard half-brick pinout, provides exceptionally high, true useable power from -40 to +100°C, without derating. It offers up to 88% power conversion efficiency, 73W/in3 power density and delivers up to 4.2A useable output current in a package measuring (mm) 57.9 L x 61.0 W x 12.7 H. As standard, all models in the CN-A110 series are equipped with remote sense, remote on/off and input-to-output isolation of 3000Vac, as well as over voltage and over current protection circuitry. They are delivered with TDK-Lambda's five-year warranty, are safety-approved to UL/CSA/EN60950-1 and carry the CE mark, according to the LV Directive.
