A range of heavy duty connectors that combines the innovation of TE Connectivity with the expertise of its subsidiary German industrial connector company HTS, is available now from TTI, a leading specialist distributor of passive, connector, electromechanical and discrete components. Designed specifically for the industrial machinery, railway and electrical power utilities markets, these high quality, heavy-duty connectors are backed by TE Connectivity’s 50 years’ of technical expertise, individual support from product specialists and first-class customer service.

TE Connectivity’s Heavy Duty Connector portfolio includes standard connectors from Sizes 1 to 8, including variants with enlarged wiring spaces for applications requiring high wiring density. Available in either aluminum die-cast alloy or zinc die-cast alloy housings, the connectors feature a powder-coated surface and are available with a choice of two locking systems. Depending on model, they are certified between protection class IP44 – IP 65.

Contact inserts are fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic, approved to flammability class UL 94 V-0. Contacts are copper alloy, hard silver or hard gold-plated, with a rated current of up to 16A and a rated voltage of up to 500V. There is a choice of screw, spring clamp or crimp wire terminations.

To offer maximum flexibility, TE Connectivity’s HVS (High Variable System) product range enables customers to build their own application-specific interconnect and combine up to six different modules in a single housing, reducing mounting space and cost. The HVS range consists of over 25 different modules with zinc frames, which can be mounted into all standard TE Connectivity hoods and housings using a lever snap-in system. Signal, high current and high voltage, high density, Fire Wire, RJ45, USB, Coax, twisted pair and high speed are just some of the different combinations possible using the HAV system.

Suitable applications include production machinery, material handling equipment, forklift trucks, robots, motors, control cabinets, monitoring equipment (HMI) as well as many uses in the rail and mass transport sector.
