Three-phase transformers ideal for instrumentation and industrial control apps

    02/04/2013

Offering improved performance, rugged construction, and expanded reliability, the modular IPI Three-Phase Transformer Series from Innovative Power delivers power management to a wide range of instruments and controls designed for heavy-duty industrial use. With three sets of primary and secondary windings sharing a common core, this transformer series offers a highly efficient alternative to ganging standard single phase transformers, which requires more space, more connections, more weight and more potential points of wear or failure. Designed for heavy duty instrumentation and controls developed for rugged industrial processes and manufacturing environments, the devices' flexible, scalable design supports a wide range of cost-effective applications. Special and custom design configurations are also available, as well as a wide range of three-phase resonators and inductors. Suitable for applications from 0.1 to 50 kVA, the IPI Three-Phase Transformer Series is manufactured with precision coil winding technology in an economical open-frame package or sealed package. Depending on the model selected and voltage required, package sizes range from as small as 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) square to as large as 4.0 ft. (1.2192 m) square. Lead terminal finish is RoHS compliant, solder meets J-STD-020D and safety is per UL E332078. Additional certifications are available upon request to a broad array of government, industry and international safety, performance, quality and material standards. Manufactured to strict standards in IPI's cellular manufacturing facility, which meets ISO 9001-2008 to provide strict quality controlprocedures and testing to ensure performance and life, the three-phase transformers withstand high-temperature soldering and an operating temperature from -40°C to +240°C. In 1000 piece quantity, the transformers are available from $1.00 each to $6,000.00 each, depending on specific performance features and other customer requirements. Lead-time is stock to six weeks.
