DSP Group, a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions
for converged communications, and Crow Electronic Engineering, a
leading provider of advanced security and control solutions for the
worldwide integrated security market, announced that Crow has
started manufacturing of a full range of ULE-enabled Security and Life
Safety nodes based on DSP Group's ULE DHX91 chipset.

Leveraging the DHX91 System-on-a-Chip (SoC), Crow's new product
portfolio is fully ULE and HAN-FUN v1.0-compliant, featuring ultra-low
power consumption, extended range, simple installation and
registration, and support for voice and visual security verification.
The rich DHX91 feature set enables operators, service providers and
Do-It-Yourself (DIY) vendors to couple Crow's Security and Life Safety
nodes with existing DECT-enabled home gateways, Over-The-Top Boxes
(OTTs) and standard PSTN base stations.

"We experimented with other technologies, but ultimately determined
that ULE is superior, especially given its extended range and
interference-free frequency band. DECT and ULE's bandwidth, together
with its voice and visual support, were also key factors, since it will
enable our customers to benefit from voice and visual verification,"
said Shmuel Melman, CEO and President of Crow Group. "DHX91 is a
perfect match for our needs, and we are now in the process of further
leveraging the SoC's ARM processing power to enable additional cost
reductions and enhance system compactness," he concluded.

"It's been our privilege to enjoy a long-term working relationship with
security and life safety experts like Crow. Crow's choice of DHX91 for
their sensors again demonstrates that ULE is the right technology for
home automation and control, and that DSP Group's solutions provide
exactly what the market needs," said Ofer Elyakim, CEO of DSP Group.
"Crow's DHX91-driven devices have been field-proven by operators and
service providers, leaving no doubts that ULE is indeed superior
technology," he continued.
