VectorCAST embedded software test platform integrated with the AUTOSAR Open Standard

    08/02/2013

Vector Software, a leading provider of software solutions for testing embedded applications, announced that their VectorCAST embedded software test suite has been integrated with the AUTOSAR architecture. This latest integration demonstrates that the VectoCAST platform is suitable for use by automotive software developers complying with ISO 26262 testing and code coverage requirements, and also using the AUTOSAR architecture. The Automotive Open System Architecture (AUTOSAR) is an open and standardized automotive software architecture, jointly developed by automobile manufacturers, suppliers and software developers with the goal to establish an open standard for software architectures in vehicles. The goal of AUTOSAR is to provide standardized implementations of basic system functions to allow easier scalability, reuse, and maintainability of automotive software. "Automotive manufacturers and suppliers are increasingly adopting the AUTOSAR standard in production programs," said Bill McCaffrey, Chief Operating Officer at Vector Software. "Now, automotive engineers can use VectorCAST to test applications built with the AUTOSAR framework." Vector Software
