    Vicor Receives Prestigious SPDEI Award

    12/10/2010

Vicor has built its reputation over the years as a leading provider of power solutions through the quality and range of its products and the support and commitment to its customers and distributors, internationally. This was independently recognised at the SPDEI (Syndicat Professionnel de la Distribution en Electronique Industrielle) awards in Paris on 17 November, where Vicor was named as Prize Winner in the Energy Category. Voted for by distributors, it demonstrates the French distributors' recognition of Vicor's support. The awards acknowledge excellence across five criteria: distribution strategy; product innovation; technical and commercial support; margin and design protection. SPDEI represents all major electronics distribution companies, and over 70% of the industry in France. The annual awards ceremony, now in its fifteenth year, allows members to reward the best performing and most supportive manufacturers, recognition that Vicor France Manager, Salah Ben Doua, and his team are happy and proud to receive. Andy Gales, VP of Vicor's international business commented: "Vicor continues to accelerate the introduction of innovative power components to the market. Internationally we rely on distribution to promote our products and are committed to supporting the channel - distribution works for us. We are proud to have the recognition that our model also works for our distributors and our customers." www.vicoreurope.com
