Vicor unveiled the latest easy-to-navigate version of their website with a host of new online power design tools. Developed with extensive input from power engineers and refined with intensive user experience testing, Vicor’s new website – including its popular PowerBench™ tool suite – has been redesigned and enhanced to enable power systems designers to accelerate design cycles and speed time to market with their unique power system designs.

Beginning with Vicor’s newly expanded PowerBench Solution Selector tool, which includes Vicor’s full range of power products spanning from AC to point of load, designers can quickly and easily identify components for their power systems designs based on a streamlined parametric search platform. From there, designers can take advantage of Vicor’s new virtual PowerBench Whiteboard tool, which enables users to architect end-to-end power chain block diagrams and dynamically analyze system attributes including efficiency and power loss.

Designers can use Vicor’s advanced online PowerBench Simulation tool – which now includes the ability to simulate Vicor’s Factorized Power Architecture® (FPA®) – to interactively model the electrical and thermal performance of Vicor power components in application-specific operating conditions. With these new and enhanced capabilities, power engineers are afforded new levels of design agility and visualization across the power chain.

For engineers interested in learning about the latest advancements in power technology, several resources are available. These include a new website feature called Innovations in Power, highlighting new trends in power electronics. Vicor’s PowerBlog features articles by Vicor engineers, and Vicor’s extensive video libraries provide timely, detailed information about Vicor’s newest technology innovations.

“As energy efficiency becomes an increasingly important priority, power engineers are challenged like never before to optimize power system performance while shortening development cycles,” said Robert DeRobertis, Director, Global Marketing, Vicor. “Vicor’s new website has been designed to make it easy for power engineers to learn about, select, configure, architect and design advanced power systems to meet their unique requirements. This new evolution of Vicor’s website and PowerBench tool suite affirms our continued, singular focus on making the design experience as intuitive and frictionless as possible for power engineers.”
