Expansion of the proven WL-SMCC LED product range offers true white light from a single chip LED available in a 0402 package.

Würth Elektronik Expands its Signal LED Product Range

    11/22/2024

Würth Elektronik expands its proven LED product series WL-SMCW and WL-SMCC with white LEDs in 0603 and 0402 packages. These compact and highly efficient LEDs now allow white signals, front or backlighting to be achieved – without the need for a combination of red, green, and blue – which come very close to the white point in the color coordinate system. The components excel by virtue of their longevity and high luminous intensity.

The very compact LEDs, which come in packages commonly used for signal applications, have a typical light intensity of 250 to 300 mcd. They are therefore brighter and more efficient than the products currently available on the market. They feature a wide beam angle of 140° and emit no ultraviolet or infrared radiation. Possible applications include keyboard backlighting for cell phones and portable devices, indoor and outdoor information panels, LCD backlighting, industrial displays, or traffic control systems.

The LEDs are now available from stock with no minimum order quantity, and free samples can be requested.
