I had the great pleasure to meet with the management team of the Korean Specialty Foundry, Dongbu HiTek. The company held special presentations and timely Technology Seminars to augment the exhibition of BCDMOS processes to implement industrial and consumer chips. Jae-Inh Song Ph.D, Dongbu HiTek's Sales and Marketing Executive Vice President of the Analog Foundry, explained the exhibits As the World Leader in Specialty Foundry, Dongbu HiTek Co., Ltd. specializes in delivering superb analog and mixed-signal processing technologies. The leading specialty foundry adds high value to advanced ICs with a processing portfolio that encompasses Analog, BCDMOS, High Voltage CMOS, CMOS RF, CMOS Image Sensor (CIS), Display Driver IC (DDI), and NOR Flash technologies. The Analog POWERhouseTM company's best-in-class BCDMOS technology enables power management chip designs that serve numerous applications ranging from home and handheld electronics to automotive and industrial systems. Currently processing technologies at nodes ranging from 0.35 microns to 90 nanometers, the company complements its world class foundry capabilities with top quality design support, prototype verification and packaging/module development. Dongbu HiTek's BCDMOS process technologies continue to assert their technology leadership across diverse applications including high-voltage green solutions for industrial applications as well as efficient power management solutions for automotive and consumer electronics. The company showcased the following BCDMOS process technologies at its PCIM exhibit: High Voltage Green Solutions 0.35um 700V N-Epi BCDMOS for implementing high-voltage chips for Industrial Lighting and LED Driver applications Automotive Electronics Power Management 0.35um BCDMOS for implementing: Power Folding DC Motor Driver; Automatic Power Folding System (APFS) for Side Mirror; Headlight positioning DC Motor Driver; and Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) for Headlight Consumer Electronics Power Management 0.18um BCDMOS for implementing Battery Management / LED Driver for Portable Devices, and 0.35um BCDMOS for implementing Switched Mode Power Supply chips for Set Top Box and TV applications Headquartered in Seoul, Dongbu HiTek publicly trades its stock under 000990 on the Korea Stock Exchange.
