PCIM South America launches in Brazil

PCIM South America will be held for the first time from 11 - 13 September 2012 in Sao Paulo. Following the success of PCIM Europe and PCIM Asia, organizer Mesago PCIM GmbH is launching the new event in Brazil to increase the international reach of the leading conference and exhibition for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management. "The growing market for electronics in Brazil offers both national and international companies great opportunities. There is an increase in demand for information, an exchange of ideas and chances for presenting concepts and solutions. With PCIM South America, Mesago offers companies and experts in applied sciences the ideal platform to achieve all three at the same time", commented Udo Weller, President of Mesago PCIM GmbH. Proven concept replicated The already well-established concept combining a topic-driven exhibition and application-oriented conference is to be replicated at PCIM South America. The main focus is therefore on power semiconductors, passive components, thermal management, new material and their applications in the fields of motion, renewable energies and energy management. Indexport Messe Frankfurt Argentinien is PCIM South America's capable and experienced partner in Brazil. The technical content of the conference (to be held in English) will be developed by an international advisory board composed of experts from industry and science, thus guaranteeing a conference of very high quality. The advisory board for PCIM South America is composed of 26 members, led by Professor Marcelo Lobo Heldwein of the Institute for Power Electronics, INEP, Santa Catarina University in Brazil, in collaboration with Professor Ivo Barbi, Head of INEP and Professor Leo Lorenz of Infineon Technologies.
