The SOM series is configurable for architectures ranging from dual-core to octa-core depending on customer needs. Packed with multimedia capabilities, the RZ/G2 series is designed to support a cutting-edge interface. With up to seven video signal processors and a PowerVR 3D Graphics Engine (EDGE), the RZ/G2 series of SOMs are perfectly suited for high-performance multimedia applications including 3D graphics and high-definition video.
The Renesas RZ/G2 provides a platform for secure connected devices with long product lifecycles. Beacon’s RZ/G2 SOMs go beyond basic wired and wireless connectivity, with optional built-in LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT cellular capabilities. Secure boot capabilities are backed by Renesas Platinum Membership of the Civil Infrastructure Platform™ (CIP™), which guarantees 10+ years of security patch support in Linux for the RZ/G2 chips.
