Bidirectional transient current suppressor device operates at high speed with low resistance

    04/08/2013

TTI, a leading specialist distributor of passive, discrete, connector and electromechanical components, has introduced Bourns® TCS™ DL Series High-Speed Protectors. Incorporating dual well-matched bidirectional Transient Current Suppressors, the TCS DL series operates at very high speed and has low resistance for superior protection against faults caused by short circuits, induction and lightning surges. Generally used in conjunction with low capacitance TVS devices, a Bourns® TCS™ DL device forms an extremely low let-through energy barrier to excessive voltages and currents during surge events which can cause damage to unprotected high-speed, low voltage driver and receiver components. The TCS DL Series is available in a small SMT package and is RoHS compliant in accordance with RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC Jan. 27, 2003 including annex and RoHS Recast 2011/65/EU June 8, 2011. These devices are also halogen-free, with less than 1500 ppm total Bromine (Br) and Chlorine (Cl) content. Suitable applications include: VDSL and Ethernet ports, protection modules and dongles, process control equipment and test and measurement equipment. TTI
