Bourns Introduces 21-Model TVS Diode Series that Delivers a Wide Peak Voltage Range for Additional Design Flexibility

Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today introduced its SMLJ-R Series Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes. Designed with high performance energy absorption and clamping capabilities that provide effective Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection for sensitive electronics, this new series is available in compact DO-214AB packaging with unidirectional and bi-directional options. The capabilities and packaging offered make these TVS Diodes superior surge protection solutions for portable communications, computing and video equipment applications.

The Bourns® SMLJ-R Series TVS Diodes provide additional design flexibility with a choice of working peak reverse voltage from 12 V to 30 V and a power dissipation of 3000 watts. Designers can also select from 13 unidirectional part numbers and eight part numbers with bi-directional structures. The series has also been tested to comply with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Min. Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge standards.

The Bourns® SMLJ-R Series TVS Diodes is available now through Bourns’ authorized distribution partners and is RoHS* compliant. For more detailed product information, please go here.
