C&K Offers Low-Profile Housing for Pushbuttons and Emergency Stop Switches

C&K Components, a leading international supplier of tact switches, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches, and smart card interconnect devices, announced the availability of RAFI's E-Box, a low-profile housing for control components. The newly designed E-Box permits convenient and quick assembly and is suitable for installing actuators of the RAFIX 22 FS Series. In addition, the E-Box can be used wherever single control component units are required at detached or remote locations. The modular system consists of bottom and top parts, contact module with contact block, and an emergency-stop actuator from the RAFIX 22 FS Series. The dimensions of the E-Box (109 x 40 x 27mm) make it ideal for mounting on 40mm DIN rails. "The E-Box is an attractive, low-profile housing for pushbutton and emergency stop switches that provides quick and easy mounting and assembly," said Vincent Acampora Worldwide Product Line Manager at C&K "Because of the extremely low-profile mounting depth of the control components from the RAFIX 22 FS Series and the design of the front elements, C&K opens up entirely new housing design options." The E-Box offers several mounting and assembly options, including DIN rail installation using RAFI's new single-hole screw mounting method, or using a simple snap-on method built into the top housing. The contact blocks are available with gold contacts for 35V and 100mA maximum or with silver contacts for 250V and 4A maximum. The contact module is available with either two normally-closed contacts, or one normally-closed contact and one normally-open contact. A contact module is also available for the emergency-stop "Plus 1" version with two normally-closed contacts and one normally-open contact.
