Cree to exhibit at DMC 2014

    11/25/2014

Cree, a leading supplier of silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) wafers and devices, is exhibiting at this year’s Defense Manufacturing Conference (DMC 2014), which will take place from December 1st to the 4th in San Antonio, Texas. Attended by leaders in government, industry, and academia, the DMC is the premier national forum for presenting and discussing initiatives aimed at addressing enhanced defense and related national manufacturing capabilities and requirements. As such, representatives from Cree’s RF Foundry will be promoting their recent designation as both a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) manufacturing readiness level (MRL8) and Category 1A Trusted Foundry at booth #350.

Cree’s recent accreditation as a Category 1A Trusted Foundry – the highest designation awarded by the DoD – validates that policies and procedures designed to ensure the trustworthiness, integrity, and confidentiality of the manufacturing process are securely in place, and differentiates Cree as a trusted supplier of GaN technology in support of national defense applications. Similarly, its MRL8 designation – awarded for its production of GaN monolithic microwave integrate circuits (MMICs) – verifies Cree’s ability to provide assured, affordable, and commercially viable production capabilities and capacities for national defense.
